The SF Sketchfest Dozen: The Next Wave of Stand-Up Comedy Stars SF Sketchfest presents a dozen hand-picked stand-up comedians on the rise—names you might not know now, but will be hearing a lot from soon.
Dominic Dierkes is a Los Angeles-based comedian. He’s a veteran performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and a member of the internet sketch group, DERRICK comedy. With DERRICK, Dominic co-wrote and co-starred in the feature film “Mystery Team” which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
Dominic has made guest appearances on “Community,” “Parks & Recreation,” “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23,” “House of Lies,” “Weeds,” and “Mad Men.” He was also a staff writer on the FOX animated show “Allen Gregory,” the Peabody award-winning Onion News Network, and for “Workaholics” on Comedy Central.
Dominic recently sold a show with called “Checked Out” to Comedy Central. He is attached to star and executive produce this series his partner Sean Clements and 3Arts Entertainment.
DC Pierson is the author of the novel “The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep And Never Had To,” which received the American Library Association’s ALEX award, and the young adult novel “Crap Kingdom,” published by Viking Children’s Books in 2013.
He is also one-fifth of the comedy group DERRICK. He co-wrote and co-starred in the group’s film “Mystery Team,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009 and was released theatrically by Lionsgate / Roadside Attractions.
As an actor, he’s appeared on “Key and Peele,” “Weeds,” “Community,” “Comedy Bang! Bang!,” “NTSF:SD:SUV::,” “Up All Night,” “1600 Penn”, and in the movies “The To-Do List,” “Grassroots,” “Cherry,” and” Awful Nice.” He’s performed his storytelling show “DC Pierson Is Bad At Girls” nationwide. He was a featured stand-up at SXSW 2012.
All shows are 18 & over with valid photo ID.
There is a two drink minimum per person.
