Cheaper Than Therapy
Who needs shock therapy when you can spend an evening with Bay Area’s best comedic talent at the Punch Line? That’s why Jon Allen and Eloisa Bravo proudly announce Cheaper Than Therapy, a stand-up comedy show where the cleverest (and, yes, craziest) comic minds uncork in an evening of comedy and catharsis. But the benefits aren't limited to those on the stage. As the punchlines pile on and the room starts to crack up, you too will discover that laughter really is the best medicine.
Sean Keane headlines the show. Sean has appeared at numerous festivals, including SF Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and the Humboldt Comedy Festival. He’s contributed to McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and ESPN the Magazine, and performed at Litquake, the San Francisco Literary Festival. His writing has appeared in the East Bay Express, Deadspin.com, and various sports blogs all over the internet. He’s had the privilege of working with such comedians as Todd Barry, Greg Proops, Dave Attell, Tig Notaro, Rory Scovel, TJ Miller, Kyle Kinane, and Kurt Braunohler, among others.
Eloisa Bravo (co-producer of Cheaper Than Therapy) has performed at the Punch Line, the Purple Onion, Cobb's and Rooster T. Feathers, as well as the Palm Beach, Miami, and Hollywood Improvs. She has won several comedy competitions in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been asked to perform at many festivals and showcases.
